NGC 3115 Spindle Galaxy in het sterrenbeeld Sextant.

Mooie heldere nevel bij 89x is zichtbaar op zijn zijkant. Het melkwegstelsel is gericht

NE-ZW  en bezit een grote van circa 4.4’x0.8’. De stervormige kern is omringd door een wat zwakker ovaal deel die dan opnieuw omvat wordt door een uitwaaierend langgerekt ovaal.

Bij 142x vertoont de nevel zich meer egaal met heldere stervormige kern.

NGC 3115 Spindle Galaxy in the constellation Sextant.

Bright and beautiful galaxy at 89x. This edge-on galaxy is situated NW-ZE. I estimate the size 4.4’x0.8’. The star shaped centre of the galaxy is surrounded by a fainter part; this part is again surrounded by an elongated oval shaped faint nebula.

At 142x the galaxy surface brightness is homogeneous enlightened. The steps from out the centre are now fading in each other.

NGC 3242 Planetaire nevel in het sterrenbeeld Hydra.

Bij 89x heel heldere planetaire nevel een weinig ovaal die NW-ZO gericht is. De cst is niet zichtbaar en wordt overstraalt door het egaal verlicht schijfje die scherp begrenst is.

Bij 142x zwakkere buitenring die bij perifeer waarnemen het heldere kerndeel omvat.

Bij 304x ring duidelijk aanwezig met de indruk van een kleine centrale holte.

NGC 3242 Planetary nebula in the constellation Hydra.

Again a bright planetary nebula where the shape is a little elongated in the direction NW-ZE. The bright surface disk has sharp outer edges and hides the cst.

There’s a faint outer ring at advert vision, magnification 142x.

Its surrounds the bright disk and flows gently in to space.

At 304x outer ring clear visible, there’s an impression of a tiny centre gap.

NGC 3511/13  twee sterrenstelsels in het sterrenbeeld Crater.

Twee stelseltjes die haalbaar zijn bij 89x. De 3511 valt onmiddellijk op als een zwakke langgerekte nevel met iets heldere kern. De 3513 heeft wat meer tijd nodig maar vertoont zich als vormloos grijs vlekje.

Bij 142x zijn de details voor de 3511 dezelfde, maar de 3513 komt nu duidelijk over als vormloos neveltje zonder kernverheldering.

Beiden zichtbaar in een beeldveld van 34’.

NGC 3511/13 two galaxy’s in the constellation Crater.

Both are visible at 89x, the 3511 catch my eye first as an elongated faint nebula with a brighter core. The 3513 take a little more time to spot but once you can see its place there you find a very faint patch of grey nebula.

With a magnification of 142x is the 3511 the same but the 3513 is now easy to observe as a shapeless faint nebula without bright core.

Both are visible in a field of 34’.
