NGC 3132 Eight Burst nebula  in het sterrenbeeld Vela.

Bij 89x is een heldere planetaire nevel. De vorm is rond tot ovaal met een cst (centrale ster) die gemakkelijk waarneembaar is. Een centrale kleine holte kan waargenomen worden en bij perifeer kijken is de holte omringd door een helderder neveldeel.

Bij 142x holte scherp afgelijnd en met zwakke nevel gevuld. Oppervlakte schijfje is diffuus en niet scherp begrenst. Ring rond holte is duidelijk aanwezig.

At 89x the shape of the bright planetary nebula starts to get oval.

The cst. (central star) is easy to observe. There’s a small hollow space in the centre. Using advert vision this space is surrounded by a brighter nebula part.

At 142x the edges are sharp around the hollow space; the gap is filled with a faint haze. This gives me the impression of a brighter ring. The surface of the nebula has no sharp edges and looks diffuse.
